Victor Osimhen suffers from a head trauma following his shock with Atalanta. The attacker no longer has any memory of the match.
It’s a new blow to Victor Osimhen. Rookie star last summer from Lille, the Nigerian will once again find himself far from the field. In the Sunday night loss at Bergamo (4-2, 23e Serie A day), the player of Napoli at lost consciousness following a shock to the head a few seconds from the end of regulation time.
Hospitalized overnight in Bergamo, Osimhen is still under observation. The scanner revealed a head trauma but his condition would be reassuring, according to a statement from the club. He will miss the second leg of the knockout stages of the Europa League, scheduled for Thursday evening at San Paolo, against Grenade. His presence is also compromised for the championship encounter against Benevento.
This accident will not help Osimhen who lives a complicated first season in Italy. The latter had found the land at the end of January after more than two months of absence due to a shoulder injury and the coronavirus.
