    Tokyo Olympics

Two days before the opening ceremony, the first events of the Tokyo Olympic Games began this Wednesday in Japan.

Softball took the lead, with the launch of the women’s tournament, and Japan’s victory over Australia in Fukushima (8-1). Women’s football, to give the players time to recuperate between matches, also begins this Wednesday, with in particular Great Britain – Chile in Sapporo.

The first French athletes to enter the competition will thus be the footballers. Thursday, at 10 a.m. (French time), André-Pierre Gignac and his teammates face Mexico.
