While the European Super League project seems well advanced, Olympique de Marseille would be approached to support PSG if a second French club has a voice.
The revolution is on. As mentioned for several weeks, the creation of a European Super League indeed seems inevitable. This new competition, reserved for the most powerful clubs in Europe, should be launched no later than 2024.
It would host twenty teams, including 15 permanent participants: five English, three Spanish, three Italians, two Germans and one French as well as five guest clubs. According to information from RMC Sport, the plateau would be determined on economic criteria.
Also, despite its recent results on the European scene, theOlympic Marseille would be better placed than theOlympique Lyonnais to accompany the PSG in this competition. OL would also not participate in the talks.
Finally, it should be noted that the launch of this European Super League would have no impact on the national championships, which the clubs will continue to play normally.
