Atlético Mineiro confirmed this Tuesday the end of contract for Jorge Sampaoli, who will take over the management of Olympique de Marseille.
Jorge Sampaoli’s adventure at Atlético Mineiro is over. While the Argentine coach himself announced his departure, the Brazilian club confirmed the news.
“Clube Atlético Mineiro informs that they have accepted the decision of coach Jorge Sampaoli to terminate his contract with the club, at the end of the Brazilian championship, this Thursday 25“, Said the club Monday evening.

Sampaoli will therefore lead Atlético Mineiro one last time against Palmeira against Thursday evening. He should then fly to France in order to engage with theOlympic Marseille. Due to the Covid-19 protocol, Sampaoli will probably not be on the bench for OM-OL on Sunday. He should lead the Phocéens for the first time against Canet, in the Coupe de France, on Sunday March 7.
