Day and night, Tokyo never disconnects. The city swarms or sparkles. In the heart of July, the Japanese capital, beautiful indifferent crushed by the heat, gives only cold glances to the Olympic Games. The city has not changed its habits and the Olympics blend into the landscape, do everything to go unnoticed. Far from the habits of a big circus which likes to place in each big top a place of celebration, sharing, exchange.
Japan meticulously prepared for the Games which were to be those of technological innovation, capable of propelling them into a new era. But the event, strangled by the health crisis, postponed for a year, crushed by an extended bill, condemned to argue behind closed doors (a first) in a masked environment, reinforced by the reserve, even the mistrust of the population worried about the health situation, has been diluted in the panorama.
