The last international window did not upset the top 10 of the Fifa ranking.
In the wake of the first 3 matches of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the Europe zone as well as the last two qualifying days for the next African Cup of Nations, Fifa updated its “Coca-Cola world ranking”.
TheFrench team remains 2nd in the world behind Belgium and still ahead of Brazil, which did not play during the international window in March. Then follow England, Portugal and Spain.
Germany out of the top 10
It is Italy which leaps into the top 10 by gaining 3 places to find itself 7th ahead of Argentina. Germany is only 12th and the Netherlands 16th. Armenia, which has chained 3 qualifying victories, climbed to 90th position in the world rankings.
In Africa, Senegal, 22nd in the world, is just ahead of Tunisia (26th), Nigeria (32nd), Algeria (33rd) and Morocco (34th). Mexico is the leader in the Concacaf zone and Japan is dominant in Asia.
