Competitor of EA Sports and its famous FIFA, Konami has decided to replace PES with a new game.
This fall, there will be no new war between theFIFA on one side and the pro-PES the other. If EA Sports has already unveiled the main lines of FIFA 22, with Kylian Mbappé once again on the cover, his competitor Konami, who has just replaced Antoine Griezmann with Neymar as ambassador, made a big announcement on Wednesday: the series Pro Evolution Soccer, It’s over !
A game available for download and… free!
It is indeed not at PES 2022 but to his successor, entitled eFootball, which gamers will soon be able to play. More than a name change, it is a small revolution that the Japanese publisher is undertaking since its new football simulation will be available only for download and… free! Some game modes should still be sold as an option.
It will be possible to play it on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but also on iOS and Android. Another major change, regular updates will be offered and the game will no longer be released once a year, as it is currently. Barca, Bayern, Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal, Corinthians, River Plate, Sao Paulo and Flamengo will be the teams available at launch.
