The attacker of Istanbul Basaksehir returned to the discussions that took place in the locker room of the Turkish champions, after the interruption of the game against PSG.
This Champions League meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir, at the Parc des Princes, will undoubtedly be a milestone in the fight against racism in sport. For the first time at this level, two teams have decided not to resume a football match, following racist remarks made by the fourth Romanian referee, Sebastian Coltescu, against the assistant coach of the Turkish club, Achille Webo.
AT Demba Ba’s initiative, the twenty-two actors then decided to leave the lawn as one man. In an interview with beIN Sports, the former Chelsea striker recounted what happened in Basaksehir’s locker room during this period of uncertainty which ultimately resulted in the postponement of the match to Wednesday.

“I was surprised by some reactions”
“It started talking to the right, to the left, and there were a few who raised their voices to say: ‘Either we all go out or we don’t go out’. I was surprised by some reactions, including that of Enzo Crivelli. I told him, “Enzo, if they all go out, you go out. You are 25 years old, you go out ”. If you only knew the violence with which he yelled at me (he smiles) to tell me: “No I’m not going out, these are things that must be eradicated from the football fields and if nothing is done today, it will continue ”. He decided not to go out and was followed by the team. They all stayed and we played the next day. “
