Holder of the record for the most matches played on the Clermont bench in Ligue 2, Corinne Deacon will be dethroned on Saturday by Pascal Gastien.
Before taking the reins of the French women’s team at the end of August 2017, Corinne Deacon had settled on the sidelines of Clermont Foot, where she spent three years and played 119 Ligue 2 matches as a coach. A record for a Clermont trainer, reports the regional daily The mountain.
Der Zakarian third
A brand that will however be overtaken by the technician currently in place, Pascal Gastien, who is preparing to take part in its 120th meeting in Auvergne, Saturday (3 p.m.), on the occasion of the reception of Auxerre, as part of the 21st day of L2. Note that Michel Der Zakarian completed the podium, with 114 matches to his credit.
Better record for Gastien
Statistically, the passage of Pascal Gastien (50 wins, 40 draws, 29 defeats) at the Red and Blue appears much more fruitful than that of Corinne Deacon (41 wins, 38 draws, 40 losses). The average points taken by the Clermont coach (1.6) is therefore naturally higher than that of his predecessor (1.35).
