The former enfant terrible of English football was appointed manager of Bristol Rovers on Monday.
Thanked a few months ago for his post as Fleetwood Town coach, Joey Barton signed up on Monday with the Bristol Rovers, residents of League One (English 3rd division).
The former midfielder who went through OM in particular will have a lot to do to get the “Pirates” out of the bottom of the standings, where they are in 19th place (out of 24), just two units from the red zone.
“An outstanding candidate for this role”
“Joey’s background makes him an outstanding candidate for this role. He already has a good knowledge of the league from his time at Fleetwood and has shown his skills to deliver results and get the most out of the players he works with ” welcomed the president of the club, Wael Al-Qadi.
