The management of AS Saint-Etienne announced, in a recent press release, the signing of the recuperating midfielder, Baptiste Gabard.
With the Stéphanois since 2009, the 20-year-old has done all his classes at the Saint-Etienne training center. Winner of the Gambardella Cup in 2019 and captain of the U17 Nationals, Baptiste Gabard has just signed up until 2023 with the Forez club. He took part in his first minutes of play with the professional team, last November in a friendly match, against Grenoble (3-2).
“Give back to Puel the trust he gave me”
After signing his first 3-year contract for his training club, Baptiste Gabard expressed his joy to the official media of the Saint-Etienne club. ” I am very happy and very proud to sign my first professional contract in my training club, he said. It’s the reward for many years of hard work, but it’s just the start. I can’t wait to continue my progress for one day, I hope, to realize my dream and play Geoffroy-Guichard… I also hope that I will be able to give Claude Puel the trust he gave me. “
