In Lyon and in the last climbs on Sunday, the Tour in the red zone will advance without a spectator due to the Covid-19.

The evolution of the health situation has forced the authorities to take strict measures to accompany, this Saturday and Sunday, the 14th (Clermont-Ferrand-Lyon) and 15th stages (Lyon-Grand Colombier) of the Tour de France. Saturday, for the arrival in Lyon, a zone closed to the public will be delimited 400 meters before the finish line and 200 meters after. Sunday the starting line will be closed to the public within a radius of 400 meters. And the last two difficulties of the day (the Col de la Biche and the Grand Colombier) will not be accessible.

The Ain prefecture (in the red zone) on Friday evening published a prefectural decree ensuring that “Access to the Col du Grand Colombier and the Col de la Biche will be prohibited from Saturday 12 September 2020 at noon to Sunday 13 September 2020 at 8:00 pm. No spectators, gatherings or demonstrations will therefore be allowed. ” Restrictive measures had framed the stages of the great departure from Nice. Prefectural decisions are taken department by department, Tour director Christian Prudhomme told AFP.
